Hertfordshire County Council and Broxbourne Borough Council have unveiled plans to improve the A10 in Cheshunt.
Proposals, developed with Broxbourne's Local Plan, target three key junctions, including Lieutenant Ellis Way/Winston Churchill Way roundabout, College Road, and Church Lane.
The council says the improvements create better north-south connections, whilst also providing safer east-west links for people walking and cycling as well as making it more reliable for vehicles.
Delivery of the proposals remains subject to confirmation of funding. Now the council are seeking opinions from residents and road users.
An engagement exercise is starting on Monday, January 22 and will run until Monday, February 19 2024. The local community and users of the A10 are encouraged to take part.
Cllr Phil Bibby, Executive Member for Highways and Transport at Hertfordshire County Council, said: "We are committed to ensuring the transport network is fit for purpose both now and in the future.
"These changes are aimed at improving journey time reliability and keep this important route through Hertfordshire moving, while also encouraging walking and cycling and better connecting local communities."
There will be two online information sessions to enable the community to meet the project team and hear more about the proposals and provide feedback.
